Brush Technology

What's new?

Hi there,

We've been ticking away quietly doing useful things for our customers, and getting things rolling again for the new year. It's looking to be a great 2010!

We welcome Dave Marshall to our team.  Dave is a very experienced software/firmware engineer and is great working with people.  I think you'll like him.  He will be helping out with some new projects that may include some exciting possibilities like remote monitoring in Central America or crowd-funding websites in Australia.  We're working on getting him to help lift some weights here in the office.

While we're talking about staff, Ben Hoyt (our current office leader in the weightlifting department, BTW) is off to do some work in New York for 3 weeks.  Safe travels, Ben.

Lately, there's been some weird & wonderful new technology hitting the planet. You probably don't have time to keep up with it all, but it's all in a day's work for us. We thought we'd share some of the coolest items that have recently poked their noses out of the labs.

Bionic contact lenses

Bionic contact lenses

Spectacles? How about these terminator-style "augmented reality" contact lenses? It'll be a while before they hit the shelves, but  they allow the wearer to see a 3d virtual reality superimposed on the real world, and none of the awkard headgear often associated with virtual reality.

We don't recommend wearing these & driving at the same time...

Sick of moving that mouse around? Okay, this is stepping just a little far into science fiction for a reputable technology company like us, but NeuroSky really have developed a way to control computers & robots with your thoughts. They offer a piece of technological magic that looks just like a headset, but reads your brainwaves & turns them into computing action.

Watch this space... one day, maybe sooner than later, we could be offering Mindset integration services.

Before we go, if you're the type to mix beauty & technology, we'll leave you with these stunning desktop backgrounds from Noupe.com.

Stay tuned in a couple of months time, and we hope to have some new nuggets for you.
